Food, for lunches and evening meals, is an important part of the Horse and Jockey, Curbridge, which prides itself on offering a range of foods, to cater for different appetites and tastes. All dishes are prepared and cooked on the premises, with locally sourced produce.
The Landlord, Mike, is a very experienced chef who takes a pride in producing fresh food to order and his menu will be continually changing to reflect what is in season and what is not including pies (pastry encased and potato topped), warming seasonal casseroles and stews with seasoned dumplings.
The Pub has two dining areas, a
lower wheelchair accessible one, with an open fire,
and a raised area, as seen in the pictures below.

All dishes are prepared and cooked on the premises, with locally sourced produce and cater for a wide range of tastes. Mike is a very experienced chef that takes a pride in producing quality food including his own, very popular, home cooked and glazed hams and his menu will offer a changing selection of traditional food, to tempt your taste buds.
Thus a 'sample menu' is published here rather than a static menu.
Dishes at lunchtime and in the evenings include vegetarian options, fish, steaks, pies, pasta, casseroles and Sunday Roasts also snacks ranging from Doorstep sandwiches (including fish finger sandwiches) and old favourites such as Ploughman's and Scampi and Chips.
